ABOUT THE OGSTON DEEMSTERS
Hamish Ogston maintains the Ogston Deemster cars, which were produced by the Ogston Motor Company between 1912 and 1924. Only a few hundred were made.
In 1914, Mr. Charles Jarrot, Mr. J.N.Ogston A.M.I.C.E, Mr. H.C.M. Stevens and Mr. H.C.Scofield announced that they had acquired the entire output of the new light car manufactured by The Ogston Motor Co. Ltd of Acton, London. War intervened, but in 1918, The Ogston Motor Co. was formed.

THE BALLOON
In addition to the collection of Ogston Deemsters, a Deemster hot air balloon also forms part of Hamish Ogston’s collection. The Deemster Balloon is 105 thousand cu. ft. balloon made by Cameron Balloons in Bristol – the logo seen on the side is that used by the Ogston Motor Co. on their cars made in the 1920s.
In 2014, the Deemsters were blessed at Liverpool Cathedral, where they were a centrepiece of a special service to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the consecration of the cathedral. Then in 2017, the Deemster balloon was inflated at the Cathedral to celebrate the completion of the Grand Organ refurbishment.
